Lauran Peoples
After more than two decades in the tourism industry, I traded a corporate routine for croissants, culture, and a life guided by curiosity. I chose a different pace and a more global vantage point, where the questions could deepen and the work I have always done could continue, informed now by proximity to language, culture, and place. My work remains rooted in storytelling, strategy, and cultural insight. What has shifted is how that work is practiced. Today, collaboration grows from stewardship in motion and deeper study, shaped by time spent learning within culture rather than observing it at a distance, and by attention to the quieter truths that emerge when you slow down long enough to listen.I partner with teams within organizations responsible for place and culture to translate institutional goals into clearer language, more grounded storytelling, and strategic decisions that hold both organizational responsibility and cultural care. This work is shaped through close listening, shared questions, and a willingness to sit with complexity long enough for new clarity to emerge. It values thoughtful innovation over urgency, and curiosity that is mutual rather than imposed. Often, the most meaningful shifts arrive not through answers delivered, but through questions that have already started to answer themselves. If this way of working feels aligned, we’re likely thinking in the same direction.
How I work
Before the work takes shape, it's grounded in practice. This often includes copywriting and editorial development, research and synthesis, campaign planning, and collaborative thinking across teams and disciplines. These skills create the foundation for seeing the whole system, shaping stories that resonate, and noticing what others overlook.
I work beyond sales, marketing, and business plans to understand the system they live inside. That means paying attention to what's connected, what's missing, and where friction or opportunity is quietly building. Much of this work happens in the spaces between intention and execution, where intuitive strategy helps identify and fill the gaps that formal plans often leave behind. This is where clarity, direction, and alignment begin to take shape.
I help develop campaigns and messaging rooted in meaning, not just visibility. The goal is not louder storytelling, but truer storytelling. Narratives that people recognize themselves in and feel invited to engage with. This work often involves refining language, framing ideas, and building campaigns that carry emotional and cultural weight alongside creative polish.Stories here are built to last, not just to launch.
I bring a cultural and place-based lens to the work, helping identify insights that often sit in organizational blind spots. This includes examining whose stories are centered, whose are missing, and how history, identity, and lived experience shape perception and impact. Small and intentional shifts in perspective can change how work is understood and places are authentically experienced.Insight, in this sense, is about seeing differently, not simply knowing more.
I'm Glad you're here
I love thoughtful conversation and shared curiosity. Whether you’re arriving with a fully formed idea or something still taking shape, you’re welcome here. The best conversations tend to start the same way most good days do: with coffee and curiosity.

Meaningful work often begins by paying closer attention to where we are, to place, to people, and to the questions both are already asking.I’ll be in touch.
